Mr. Fernández was born in Mexico, City on August 31, 1959, he is authorized to practice law in every state of the Mexican Republic, and his professional register number is 1212538.

Mr Fernández background was conformed in several law offices such as ORTEGA Y ROBINA ABOGADOS, he also worked as counselor to Grupo López Silanes (Laboratorios Silanes); Grupo Tiger (Tiger Leasing, Tiger Group); SEGUROS AMERICA BANAMEX, S.A.; at Tamsa, Camesa and others; SUINAGA Y SUINAGA ABOGADOS, S.C. he worked as Judicial Manager and in the department of corporate investments attention, he was also counselor to Grupo Bailleres (Grupo Bal, Cremi, Cermoc, Cemalt y Peñoles among others); Grupo Aguilar, Lápicera Mexicana, Fundidora de Aceros Tepeyac; BRIAN, GONZALEZ VARGAS Y GONZALEZ BAZ, S.C., Grupo Peralta (Grupo Internacional Petroquímico, Parafinas y Aceites, and others), Grupo Arguelles and others. Nowadays, he is the founder partner of FERNANDEZ BRANIFF ABOGADOS, S.C.

Mr. Fernández has also acquired enormous amounts of knowledge and experience in areas such as Constitutional Law, Corporate – Finance Law, Agreements and Joint ventures, Foreign Investments, and Technology Transference, Bank Law, Constitutional procedures (in administrative area against Tax and Civil Laws), Civil and Commercial Lawsuits and Successions and Energy Law. Mr. Fernández has also assisted the Federal Mexican Government in the privatization of MICONSA (Seven Industrial Plants), COTSA (Compañía Operadora de Teatros); Channels 7 and 13 of the Mexican Television, currently TV Azteca, and of the short Lines of Tijuana-Tecate, Nacozary and Coahuila-Durango, as well as other assets of the Mexican Railroad facilities and also Foreign Investments in Energy sector.

Mr. Fernández has full command of English, which allows him to personally assist foreign clients in their business in Mexico.

Today, Mr. Fernández is a well respected and prestigious lawyer, who has lectured in the Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Transformación; in the European Communities Commision; in the Confederación Mexicana de las Cámaras de Comercio de la Ciudad de México, as well as in the Mexican Bar Association, and other equally prominent National and International Organizations. He is also Arbitrator of the Mediation and Commercial Arbitration Center of the National Commerce Chamber of México, City.
